Sculptures in the garden
In 1999, several pieces of contemporary sculpture were installed in the garden including one by Antony Gormley, best known for the massive Angel of the North which overlooks the motorway at Gateshead in the north of England. There is a selection of sculptures in the peaceful upper and lower garden.
